The progression of COPD varies among patients, which is why we provide personalized treatment plans that may include:

  • Inhaled and oral medications in both short- and long-term forms.
  • Oxygen therapy for patients with low levels of oxygen in their blood.
  • Pulmonary rehabilitation to improve lung function and oxygen intake.
  • Bronchoscopic lung volume reduction (BLVR), a breakthrough treatment option that requires no surgery
  • Bullectomy, which surgically removes large air spaces in the lungs called bullae.
  • Lung volume reduction surgery that surgically removes damaged lung tissue to improve
    breathing in select patients.
  • Lung transplant for patients with very severe COPD in clinical trials and no other treatment options.
