At the Temple Lung Center, we know it can be upsetting to find out you have a lung nodule – and how stressful it can be to wait for answers. That’s why we offer easy access to appointments for patients with lung nodules.
Lung nodules are relatively common, and most are benign. However, some lung nodules can be a sign of a more serious condition and can be treated more effectively the earlier they are detected.
We want to help you get treated more quickly.

The Temple Lung Center is one of the most active centers for pulmonary care in the nation with thousands of patient visits and procedures performed each year. The Lung Nodule care team at Temple has made significant advances in the study and treatment of lung nodules, including using minimally-invasive procedures when applicable, resulting in less pain and faster recovery times for patients in need of treatment.
Sometimes, a lung nodule can be a sign of other lung conditions, such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). In these cases, patients are quickly connected to a Temple specialist and can begin their personalized treatment journey.
If a nodule is found to be cancerous (or malignant), the Temple Lung Center has a collaborative program with Fox Chase Cancer Center to provide the comprehensive, state-of-the-art, and compassionate care you deserve. The comprehensive approach of the Lung Cancer Program provides patients with the region’s leading options for lung cancer diagnosis and treatment. This depth of expertise means you will benefit from the latest global scientific breakthroughs and technologies.
